St Mary Star of the Sea Prayer Ministry

The St. Mary Star of the Sea Prayer Ministry is dedicated to supporting our parish community through the power of prayer. Our members pray daily for the needs of individuals, families, and the wider Church, offering petitions for healing, guidance, and strength. We believe in the transformative power of prayer and the comfort it brings, helping people encounter God’s love in every circumstance. Whether you have a personal intention or wish to join us in prayer, our ministry welcomes all who seek to grow in faith and trust in God’s providence.

Prayer Ministry

As a natural result of our 2023 Advent Retreat led by Dr. Josephine Lombardi we have now established a Prayer Ministry! Please find a description of the four main aspects of our prayer ministry: 

The Rosary being prayed before daily mass has been a tradition at our parish (among many others). We are hoping to keep this consistent as well as to grow it! Please join us at 8:30am from Wednesday-Saturday for this devotion.

In addition to our Adoration time on Friday's from after Mass until noon, on all first Friday's we will be adding an additional Holy Hour from 7-8pm with fellowship to follow! All are welcome!

On all first Saturday's we will be introducing Intercessory prayer following Mass and our St. Michael devotion. You are welcome to bring all of your prayer intentions so we can bring them to the Lord as a parish family.
